Photography- Series from "Non-Existent Interaction"

Film-Excerpt from documentary feature Da Capo
I am the director of Da Capo, a documentary that faithfully records a woman's self-agency re-awakening while Covid-19 wantonly ravages the world. It's a portrait of how an ordinary woman actively makes her life fully packed with things she desires to work on while enduring the pain of losing her loved ones. Subsequently, it depicts the people's real-life behind the reportage and data, presenting the mental trauma left by the pandemic——the vulnerable emotion and the inevitable loneliness.

Interactive - Performing at "Distanced Intimacy "

I was the performer of this multi-sensory exhibition and collaborated with Jiaqi Shen, who is a costume designer based in New York City.
"Distanced Intimacy" is the name of Jiaqi Shen's fashion collection featured on Vogue Runway in 2022. This exhibition was an extension of her eponymous fashion collection, which explores the capricious nature of intimacy through the tension between layered sheer textiles and structural boning.
I wore the dress from the series. My performance aims to convey the idea of "distanced intimacy" by creating several relationships between me and another performer via body movements, accompanied by the heavy breathing background sound.
The relationships we mimic were both organic and surreal. We could be wind & trash bags, water& plant, and sometimes we could be just floating dust.
There are black gauzes dividing performers and the audiences in the space, while sometimes we interact with audiences by walking to them or staring at them unexpectedly, trying to let the audiences engage more and perceive the idea of this show.

Poem—Series from Stitches
My poems explore identity crisis, post-colonialism, and the relationship between us and the environment. I wrote them in Chinese initially and then translated into English.
